Praise for Christopher C Newman:

“Worthy of the likes of Stephen King,” A.J. Llywelyn, Dark Diva Reviews

“Mr. Newman writes a compelling and unique story, filled with passion and incredible cruelty,” Tiger Lily, Whipped Cream Erotic Romance Reviews.

“I don’t want to go too far into the other specifics of Newman’s zombie-world, but they are dark, and readers may enjoy discovering them,” Scott Kenemore author of Zen of Zombie and Z.E.O.

“Now this one just took off from the first page and with everything that entered the fray got better the further I read,” WitchGiggles, Alternate-Read Reviews on The Hound of Doom.

“Christopher Newman is great writer of many books like the one titled, A Terrible Twist of Fate. Mr. Newman now brings readers a new take of alien invasion. His new twist on aliens taking over humans can only be described as fresh and original,” Estefanie, Night Time Romance Reviews on Jen’s Tale.

“The worlds that Newman builds are extreme and intense,” Lila, Two Lips Reviews.

“Christopher Newman is a master of other-worldly romance novel writing,” Delane,  Reviewer for Coffee Time Romance & More

“I hope that Christopher has more novels planned that deal with these zombies –and the other beings that crop up in the story- because he has created a world that I sincerely enjoyed stepping into. This is definitely a novel for those who like zombie stories – not only is it old-school enough to bring to mind the lurching horrors Romero visited (and still continues to) upon us, but it also offers some very interesting and fresh perspectives on the undead,” Dave Brendon on Uprising

“Christopher Newman’s clever novella The Scandalous Tale of Agnes Biggenbotten is a fast-paced romp of a story that will entertain and delight you. This humorous and completely improbable tale, set in a fictional land that looks suspiciously like historic England, is a story within a story, and it features a host of comic and over-the-top characters, a plot that is a combination of farce and soap opera, and narrator who, quite frankly, steals the show,” BD Whitney, Review for Book Wenches

“From the first page this grips you and is also a fun and fast-paced read as well. It has a list of characters that pack a punch, and exciting action sequences abound,” Lainey, Reviewer for Coffee Time Romance & More on “Love Bites Back”.

“Anyone who likes description and careful world construction won’t be disappointed by this book. The world in intense, the creatures are creative, the characters are well developed, what more could you ask for? Oh, of course; a plot. Well, this book delivers that, too.  Overall, I consider this book a win-win, and if you’ve got a soft spot for Hellions and complicated love stories, I recommend adding A Terrible Tryst of Fate to your reading list,”  Bitten by Books Reviews on “A Terrible Tryst of Fate”.

Love Bites Back was a very enjoyable short novel, packed full of action, vampire butt kicking, and a ton of laughs. Oh, and did I forget to mention the extremely steamy interlude Crystal has? It’s definitely not something you want to miss!” Aymee from Bitten by Books Reviews on “Love Bites Back”.

“I had never read a spicy comedic romance before The Scandalous Tale of Agnes Biggenbotten. I found that I really enjoyed the writing and the characters…  It was a fun and easy read. I can’t wait to read more from Christopher Newman.” Artway from Night Owl Romance Reviews.

Published Works to Date:

I am the Author of the erotic/horror novels “The Truth About Vampires” and its sequel”Rites of the Vampire Cult” as well as the anthologies “Ghost Lover and Other Erotic Fantasies”, “Love Spell & Other Tales of Terror and Eroticism”, “Nymph-omania & Other Erotic Encounters with Love Goddesses”, and “L.O.V.E.: The Legion of Valiant Enforcers”. All of these are on sale at Renaissance E Books and Fictionwise.com.

The first two E novels combine the growing public fascination with BDSM with the long standing infatuation with all things Vampire. These novels revolve around the story of a twenty-six year old woman desperate to become a member of the bloodsucking elite no matter what the cost.

“Ghost Lover”,”Love Spell” and “Nymph-omania” are collections of short stories of erotic/horror. “Ghost Lover” contains random horror/erotica tales while “Love Spell” revolves around the various characters and situations found in the average trailer park. “Nymph-omania” contains tales of mortals and goddesses and the heavenly encounters and tragedic consequences that befall such trysts.  “Ghost Lover” is my best seller as far as sales go and has garnered many wonderful comments and accolades.

“LOVE: The Legion of Vigilant Enforcers” came out on November 14, 2009 at Sizzler Editions of Renaissance ebooks, it’s my sixth novel with them. It’s the story of a rag-tag group of superheroes and heroines who are not only battling an archvillain, but their own desperate and secret desires. Can they pull together as a team and defeat Major Ruin or will they succumb to their petty ambitions instead.

Additionally in the realm of erotic/horror I have “Curse of Albrecht Manor” and its five sequels entitled “The Hound of Doom”, “Those Dangerous Times”,”Get Into the Spirit, Baby”, “The Devil His Due”, and “Return to Albrecht Manor”. These novels are a series of books that follow Noah Ravenswood and his sidekick Dr. Sarah Bookings who are wizards-for-hire to be published by Dark Roast Press. The first, “The Curse of Albrecht Manor” has been out since April 15, 2008 and “The Hound of Doom” was released June 20, 2008. “Those Dangerous Times” was up for sale on September 10, 2008, “Get Into the Spirit, Baby” came out February 14, 2009, “The Devil His Due” was released on January 21, 2010 and “Return to Albrecht Manor” due out June 19, 2010 with the rest to follow.

My supernatural/erotica manuscript “A Terrible Tryst of Fate” revolving around a librarian, a fallen angel, and a Demon Prince’s concubine has been released with Dark Roast Press as of September 10, 2008.  It has won praise for its complex plot and romantic overtones.  Can Amelia and Hunter survive to explore their love while the legions of Heaven and Hell gather forces for the End of Times?

My zombie epic “Uprising” which explores the current social trends, political deal-making, and special interest groups in Washington D.C. has been released with Dark Roast Press on September 10, 2008.  Finishing 10th in the 2008 Preditors & Editor’s Annual Reader’s Poll it has won much critical review for its scope and subject matter.  In the same genre “Tales from the Uprising” an anthology that follows the watershed events in “Uprising” will be out for Halloween 2009 with Dark Roast Press.  In this book you will live the tragic events in Youngstown, Ohio in the year 2018 when the undead rise from their bondage and attack.

“Of Blood and Politics” the prequel to “Uprising” is on sale at Dark Roast Press.  This novel revolves around a group of mutated humans who are trying to survive as vampires.  The CDC and the government is trying to capture them for scientific experimentation.  However there is dissension in the vampire ranks as their leader wants to re-integrate into human society and his opposition wants to dominate their food supply.

“Jen’s Tale” my sci-fi/erotica/romance novelette is currently on sale at Red Rose Publishing.  Jennifer Allen isn’t human but nobody knows that.  Her planet wants to conquer the Earth but Jen meets Brent and suddenly her alliegences are called into question.  Will love save us or will Jen betray the man she loves?

“Love Bites Back” a vampire/romance/erotica about a self-employed hunter of such evil creatures and her unwillingness to join forces with a member of the species she is paid to kill will came out January 12, 2010.

“My Beloved Enemy” a novel about a war to unify the nations of the world and how various countries enter into conflicts.  Linh Ming Trung is a Vietnamese sniper whose kill ratio is only matched by her hatred of the Western Alliance Coalition.  However she is captured by WAC officer Lieutenant Russell Fraser just as another faction enters the conflict.  Temporarily allied with her hated foe she struggles to maintain her dedication to her country’s cause and avoid falling for the handsome man.  Hate begins to unravel when she discovers it is nations that go to war,  not people.  This has been available from Freya’s Bower since June 15, 2010.

“The Scandalous Tale of Agnes Biggenbotten; Book One of the Storyteller’s Series” has been published Feb. 07, 2010 with Eternal Press.  It is a rollicking tale about an innocent woman whose… um… ample asset drives the men in her village to distraction.  The mayor isn’t satisfied with just watching and makes a play for her.  The series of outrageous events force Agnes into the wide world all alone.

“The Redemption of a Scoundrel, Book Two of the Old Storyteller Series” was released on July 7, 2010 from Eternal Press.  This novel follows the rollicking misadventures of Ludwig Osgood-Simple, a cad who has little regard for the women he seduces.  However a bizarre twist of fate places him in the employment of Penny Brytches and Rodney Falstaff who insist he pay off his debt to them by performing duties as a gigolo.  Little does Ludwig know this will allow him to meet the woman who will steal his heart.  Our hero must tread a very narrow and dangerous path in order to win the affections of Lady Faith Nevermore.

“The Swashbuckling Tale of Milady Vixen; Book Three of the Old Storyteller’s Series” is currently with my editor at Eternal Press.  It involves a young woman who swears vengeance upon the Kingdom of Effingham and will not rest until her oath is fulfilled.  It’s was released on May 7, 2011.

“Deviant Ark” a novel about a united Humanity which has outlawed all sexual and religious deviancies and the underground movement on the Mars Colonies to restore basic Human Rights is currently undergoing editing at Red Rose Publishing.  It tells the tale about a future society of Mankind were personal freedoms are outlawed and homosexuality is illegal.  This book was prompted by the events in California involving Proposition 8 and the marriage of that law’s passing with my devoius little mind.  Currently this is going to be released soon.

Not ready for Prime Time:

“Midnight Snack” a novel about girl meets boy, boy meets girl, girl meets werewolf and things get hairy.  It is a non-erotica horror story I just finished and and has been sent out to various publishers.

“When She Was Good…” a psychological thriller about a woman who wakes up without her memory in the hospital only to find out her twin sister is missing.  Patricia “Trisha” Marlowe’s best friend Edward Conti relates to her how Trisha was last seen leaving to bring back her very angry and troubled sibling Pam.  Now it’s a race against time to find where Pam is and the only hope is for Trisha to recover her memory.  I’m currently waiting for the editing process to start with Silver Publishing.

Also with Silver Publishing (no release date yet) is “Academia Arcanum”.  This book revolves around a serial killer who is preying upon female co-eds at Evans City University.  Detective Allen Franks and his partner Debbie McMasters are at a standstill in the investigation and trying to hold off FBI takeover of the case.  Entering into the hunt is Cassandra Radcliffe, a ECU student and a witch.  Sparks fly when Debbie’s secret crush on Allen arises when she believes her partner has fixatured on the much younger Cassandra.

Unpublished Works:

The manuscripts I have in the sword-and-sorcery genre include “The Dagger of Gol-r’ath”, “Lives in the Balance”, & “Expedition to the Wild Coast”. These manuscripts explore the idea of what kind of person could bring about drastic change in an established and hidebound religion. Our heroine is Lilith Attarlsdottar a darkling (the name given to anyone with a demonic heritage) who finds herself the subject of a demonic prophesy. Dark Roast Press has expressed an interest in acquiring the series, so I’m currently editing them.

Currently I’m working on “The Magazine” (working title only) about Frank Grisham who finds a 1975 girly magazine in his grandfather’s effects in the attic.  Opening the sealed book releases the spirit of the murdered centerfold who begs him to help her find peace.  Or does she have another more wilder agenda?  This book is only a few chapters away from completion and it’s fermenting time before it gets it second draft revision.
